How to Control Pain in Teething Baby

Teething is the process in which the baby develops his or hers first teeth. During this process, the gums can become tender, hence causing mild to strong pain during the teething. In some of the teething babies, it can be normal, but most of them suffer a lot from the pain. Teething is a normal process in babies, which begins around the age of 4-6 months. During this process the babies can be very fussy, agitated and may even cry for hours. It can be annoying for the mothers hence you must follow the given tips to reduce the pain making the teething process a little less stressful for the baby.

Consult the pediatrician: teething process can be quite painful for some babies. In case your baby is not eating properly or is crying every time he eats, consult a pediatrician or a child dentist. They may tell you how to control the extreme pain with some medications. Some of the babies also have a mild fever during the teething, which is normal. However if high fever occurs, inform the doctor to find out the reason.

Clean the dentals: during the teething process, you must clean the dentals with kid’s toothbrush to keep them healthy. The gums develop pores for the teeth to grow, where the food can be stuck during the feeding. All these food particles can cause bacteria to rise and infect the gums, thus harming the growing teeth. Use a soft bristled small-headed brush to clean the gums gently every time after feeding.
